How we got here
Our Story
Two decades ago in Silicon Valley, Todd Smith and Justin Gelinas worked side by side helping Cisco Systems and other tech giants build the foundations of modern infrastructure.
Immersed in innovation, they gained a front-row view of how global leaders scaled systems and drove growth. Those lessons would later shape TAHO Labs.
Justin went on to found and exit a successful technology firm serving Fortune 500s, uncovering deep inefficiencies in distributed compute, such as IoT for smart cities and HPC-enabled environments.
Todd joined Facebook (pre IPO), where he met Michal Ashby, both helping scale systems that powered billions of users. They later repeated that success at Snap before moving into other executive leadership roles at prominent tech companies.
In 2024, as global AI compute demand surged, their three paths converged. Drawing from decades building hyperscale systems, they founded TAHO Labs to solve the complex challenge of growing inefficiency in High Performance Computing.
From Cisco to Facebook and Snap, their journey has come full circle, from powering the internet's biggest platforms to creating the next one.
TAHO Labs (TAHO, Inc.) is the culmination of a collective 60 years of infrastructure innovation. Together, we're building the future of computing.
